The Role

An exciting role has become available within Westwood for a proactive, creative and brand aware individual to join the marketing team as Social Media Manager in the UK.

Reporting to the Group Head of Marketing Strategy, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring Westwood’s presence across multiple social media platforms, and ultimately lead the growth of our social media presence. Specifically, you’ll create, plan and fulfil the social media plan, whilst boosting Westwood’s brand presence and reputation.

You will not only champion Westwood externally through social media, but also internally by being a passionate proponent of social media, which in turn will help support the building of social media advocates within our business.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working with different internal stakeholders on social media specific campaigns or as a part of larger integrated campaigns. As such, you’ll be connected, and visible, to every part of our business and will be an essential part of our overall marketing strategy and our commercial success.


Whilst an academic understanding of marketing is beneficial, it’s not the ‘be-all-and-end all’, so it’s down to you to help us see why your 4-years+ social media experience serves as the perfect showcase for all you could achieve at Westwood.

You’ll most likely have a very strong background in b2b social media marketing and understand how to adapt messages, tone of voice and content for differing audiences, by utilising high quality content from data and insight generated by the research teams.

Social media may not have been your only marketing role, however, as you may have experienced other roles within digital marketing that have enhanced your overall knowledge and understanding.

From your experience, you’ll be able to demonstrate instances where you’ve made a measurable impact on the growth, engagement and conversion of the marketing funnel via social media.  We’re particularly interested to hear from those who have utilised video and stimulating graphics to great effect in campaigns.

Key skills and competencies

  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms and how to utilise social media communities
  • Excellent short-form copy writing skills
  • Ability to conceive and create visual content utilising Adobe Suite applications
  • Social media management platforms, such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite
  • Previous experience of setting up and running paid social campaigns
  • Sound understanding and application of marketing analytics platforms
  • Highly organised, collaborative and with great communication skills


  • Experience of using a web CMS such as Word Press
  • Practical experience of automation tools such as Active Campaign
  • Previous experience running social media for a b2b marketing intelligence business
  • Video hosting and publishing platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo
