APPEX, London

March 5, 2019 - March 7, 2019

About APPEX

Now in its 17th year, APPEX is the only truly global event focused on prospecting, business transaction and deal making for the oil and gas E&P sector – for prospects, properties, products, service providers, investors and all the decision-makers necessary to close a deal.

Westwood Global Energy will be presenting at APPEX 2019 – a two and a half day high intensity business environment that acts as a catalyst for deals to be struck and new ventures to be undertaken.

Hamish Wilson, Head of E&P Consulting at Westwood Global Energy Group, will be speaking at The Impact of Activist Investors/Shareholders and Acquisition Selection in a Buyer’s Market session at 9am on 6th March.

Title: The Oil Industry and its relationship with communities, investors and climate change. Do we lead or follow?

Overview:

  • The oil industry is not popular – this negative perception will damage our ability to raise capital and operate.
  • To what extent is the industry accountable for climate change?
  • The industry should be seen to be taking the lead in the energy transition

Jamie Collard, one of Westwood’s global exploration analysts, who works across the Wildcat intelligence platform, will also be speaking on 6th March at 1:40pm for the Global Exploration Opportunities session.

Title: Key Wells and Plays to Watch 2019

Westwood will have an exhibition booth at the conference (booth 3) where Vikesh Mistry, Westwood analyst in the Research E&A team leading Westwood’s global farm-out service, Graeme Bagley, Head of Global E&A and Rhona McFarlane, Head of Global E&A Sales and Marketing, will be on hand to answer any questions.

APPEX 2019 will take place at London’s Business Design Centre, 5-7 March 2019.
