DW in the NewsA number of stories have dominated this week, with references to our Subsea Vessel, LNG and North Sea Decommissioning reports appearing in the news.

An article by Andrew Reid on the subsea hardware market was featured on Energy Voice this week:

“Deepwater fields  will continue to see deferrals as operators slash budgets further… DW expects subsea hardware Capex to decrease by 14% compared to the preceding five-year period, totalling $102 billion between 2016 and 2020.”

An article on the World Subsea Vessel Operations Market Forecast 2016-2020 was featured in the latest issue of Ship & Offshore magazine:

“Low hydrocarbon prices have raised concerns over the viability of many offshore field developments and therefore subsea vessel activities over the next few years.”

An article by Mark Adeosun that utilised the World LNG Market Forecast 2016-2020 and focused on Australia’s coal bed methane production was featured on the World Coal website this week:

“Douglas-Westwood (DW) forecasts total expenditure on global LNG facilities will reach US$ 241 billion between 2016 and 2020. This represents a 34% increase compared to the preceding five-year period.”

“Apart from offshore wind, another growing market is decommissioning, with the UK likely to lead the way, as Douglas Westwood (DW) highlighted again recently.”
