1. INPEX Launches Tenders for EPC Contracts at its Abadi LNG Project in Indonesia

INPEX has reportedly launched tenders for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts at its Abadi liquefied natural gas (LNG) project offshore Indonesia. Reports stated that tenders for an 180km gas export pipeline and subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) were launched in July 2026. Meanwhile, the tenders for the project’s floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit and two-train onshore LNG plant were reportedly launched a few months earlier. Sources reiterated that bidders for the FPSO contract include a consortium of Technip Energies and JGC Corporation, and a consortium comprising Saipem, Tripatra and McDermott. Meanwhile, bidders for the LNG plant include a consortium of Technip Energies and JGC Corporation, as well as a consortium comprising KBR, Samsung E&A and Adhi Karya. The tendering process is expected to continue through 1H 2027.

2. Baker Hughes Awarded a Contract to Supply Subsea Production Systems at Searah’s Kutei Northern Hub Project Offshore Indonesia

Baker Hughes announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply subsea production systems for Searah’s Kutei Northern Hub development, comprising the Geng North and Gehem fields offshore Indonesia. Baker Hughes stated that, under the agreement, it will supply 17 deepwater horizontal tree systems, along with associated manifolds and connections, and control and distribution systems. Baker Hughes further indicated that it would deploy its Cordant™ asset protection and condition monitoring systems to proactively identify and mitigate risks to critical equipment and prevent unplanned downtime. Baker Hughes will leverage its operational and manufacturing capabilities in Indonesia, delivering the trees from its Global Manufacturing Centre for Subsea Trees in Batam.

3. L&T Secures PRP-10 and WHPs Contract Awards Offshore India

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced two contract awards for ONGC’s Pipeline Replacement Project 10 (PRP-10) and a Wellhead Platforms (WHPs) development programme offshore India. Under PRP-10, L&T will undertake the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of 107km of subsea pipeline across 21 segments, together with associated modification works across ONGC’s offshore asset portfolio. In addition, L&T has been awarded an EPCIC contract for four new wellhead platforms. Industry sources reported that the four unmanned platforms SD-4-3, SD-4-4, NAAP and BS-17 relate to ONGC’s WHPMSBF Project under the MB-OSN-2005/1, SD-4 & BS-17 fields. L&T stated that execution of the projects will be supported by its in-house engineering capabilities, fabrication yards and marine installation fleet.

4. West Vela Secured for One-Year Deal with Talos

Talos Energy has now awarded a one-year rig campaign to Seadrill UDW drillship West Vela (12,000′) following its tender for a unit to work in the US Gulf, which was issued in February this year. The new contract, which comes with a value of $161 million excluding additional services, will begin on conclusion of the rig’s upcoming campaign with LLOG in June 2027. West Vela is currently working for Talos under a deal that is set to end later this month.

5. Valaris 123 Secured for New Deal Offshore Poland

Jackup Valaris 123 (400′-IC) has been secured for a new one-well contract with Central European Petroleum for operations offshore Poland in the Baltic Sea, beginning next month. The contract has an estimated duration of 110 days and includes a priced option for a second well with an estimated duration of 30 days. The operating dayrate is $135,000. The rig is currently working for TAQA offshore the Netherlands under an accommodation support deployment, which is due to end next month before passing to Central European Petroleum for the new job.

6. Serica to Sign UK Semisub Deal in Coming Weeks

Serica says that it expects to sign a rig contract in the coming weeks for a programme that could unlock up to 30,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) of additional production. The planned rig contract will cover an initial drilling campaign of around 400 days, with options to extend, enabling Serica to drill as many as six wells across its expanded portfolio. Drilling is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2027 with the Bruce SCE and SCW wells, with first production potentially arriving around 12 months after drilling starts. In May 2026, Serica tendered for a semisub to drill six firm wells with options for five wells, with a duration of 400 to 800 days of work. Sources indicate that rigs located both in the North Sea and further afield have been bid into the opportunity.

7. Additional Debt Financing Secured for Hai Long Wind Farms

Northland Power has announced that it has secured TWD55 billion (US$1.7 billion) in new 20-year debt financing for the Hai Long wind farms, located offshore Taiwan, to support the project’s remaining construction phase and refinance existing borrowings. Approximately TWD29 billion (US$900 million) of the facilities provides additional funding through project completion, while around TWD48 billion (US$1.5 billion) will replace existing debt. The financing is backed by 35 financial institutions, including seven export credit agencies and 17 international, Taiwanese commercial and state-owned banks, further broadening the project’s funding base across construction and operational phases.

8. Sumitomo Joins Gwynt Glas Floating Wind Venture

Sumitomo Corporation has become an equal partner in the Gwynt Glas wind farm, located offshore Wales, UK, joining EDF power solutions and ESB each holding a 33.33% interest. DP Energy will remain involved in development activities, including early-stage delivery and stakeholder engagement. The 1.5GW floating offshore wind project secured a seabed lease through The Crown Estate’s Round 5 leasing process and entered into an Agreement for Lease in October 2025. Environmental assessments are progressing as the project advances towards Development Consent Order (DCO) and marine licence applications.

9. Seaway7 Completes Transition Piece Installation at Inch Cape

Seaway7 has installed all 54 transition pieces at the Inch Cape wind farm, located offshore Scotland, UK. The work was completed by the heavy-lift vessel Seaway Alfa Lift, approximately two months after all monopile foundations were installed at the wind farm. The 28 m-high, 700-t transition pieces were supplied by CWHI and CFHI and marshalled in Leith. The project will now progress with the installation of 54 pin piles for 18 jacket foundations, ahead of infield cable and turbine installation campaigns later in the year.

10. East Anglia Three Nears Completion of Foundation Installation

ScottishPower Renewables has completed foundation installation campaign at its East Anglia THREE wind farm, located offshore England, UK, with all 95 monopiles and transition pieces no installed by Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) Seaway Ventus. The offshore wind farm began foundation works in April 2025 using components supplied by Haizea, Navantia-Windar and Windar Renovables. Meanwhile, 46 of the 95 Siemens Gamesa 14MW turbines have been installed. Commissioning is scheduled to start in September 2026, with commercial operations targeted for December 2026.
