February 2026 closed the month at 376 jackups classed as active, which was a six-rig increase when compared with the end of January 2026, driven by higher demand in Africa, the North Sea, Mexico, South America and Middle East. Meanwhile, the floating rig segment (drillships and semisubmersibles) closed the month at 134 active rigs working, which was an increase of two units versus the end of the previous month. This increase was driven by increased rig activity in the North Sea and Southeast Asia.
